Bill and Judy (named in the photo above) had their 50th wedding anniversary celebration at Metairie Country Club near New Orleans. Since it’s a bit unlikely that I’ll ever see a 50th anniversary myself, I am genuinely impressed by this accomplishment! As our society’s ideas about marriage change, I’d guess that 50th wedding anniversaries will become even rarer. This birthday, on the other hand, might be something I can manage someday. Going to have to be careful with that chainsaw, I suppose. Congratulations to Bill and Judy and I hope I get to make another sculpture for their 75th!
