this vertical DAD ice sculpture had some nice blue lighting, partly because pink would be weird
my vertical DAD ice sculpture design
updated 6/9/23, mostly with formatting, sarcasm, and seo
Father’s Day is on June 20th this year. (Btw, this was originally posted in 2010, so be aware.) In addition to the normal reminders that this day brings, I’m always reminded of my first ice sculpture, a “DAD” written horizontal (and similar to another design on ice sculpting secrets). So, on top of everything else, it’s an anniversary for me, just like I’m sure that other holidays mark new beginnings for other ice carvers.
This is one my sparser posts, at least in the words department. If you’re bored and want to read more about Father’s Day, check out these interesting but maybe not surprising facts about Father’s Day.
it was a bit annoying, when I was first designing this vertical DAD ice sculpture; I had to mess with the “A” a bit. MOM stacks a bit easier :/
note that the template doesn’t show a stabilizing base piece, which is usually required so your vertical DAD ice sculpture doesn’t fall over.
boring, but potentially useful stuff
