nice backdrop for my thirty ice sculpture at a gallery in Nola

a nice number thirty ice sculpture
I haven’t added a photo of it to this entry yet, but this design is the only sculpture I’ve ever carved for the birthday of twins. It was hard to fit both of their names and “Happy Birthday” on the banner. The lettering on the photo above is rather mediocre at best, but I really like the background of the photo. The sculpture was used at a really neat and unusual venue in the New Orleans Marigny that has neon jellyfish suspended from the ceiling. On the downside, it has a long flight of stairs to get to the main event area, and no elevator. But that’s not terribly uncommon in a city as old as Nola.
the font that I use in this cleaned up design is Bickham Script Pro. Not great on a CNC, but not bad for careful hand engraving
