I’ve looked for the Visa “with ice sculptures” for quite a while…
the infamous "with ice sculptures" commercial
Ok, you might be thinking that I’m smoking crack, given my excitement at finding this obscure video. However, I’ve been looking for it for a LONG time, ever since I first heard about it. I MIGHT have seen it once or twice years ago, but I don’t remember.
Regardless, I’ve somehow long known the sequence of events in the commercial: baby’s birth is imminent, the father-to-be starts excitedly listing all the things his daughter will need. Along the way though, his list teeters into despair, and it ends with a “huge black tie wedding!” The newborn immediately chimes in “WITH ICE SCULPTURES.” And the new father faints π€£π€£ soon after taking the wheelchair ride out of the hospital that the new mother usually gets.
So anyway, I have looked for this video several times at least, randomly googling over the years. However, it looks like I ended my quest at least 8 years ago, since that’s when Jordan Allen evidently posted this video. I was working on a series of interview questions for the Knot about wedding ice sculptures from an ice sculptor point of view and I decided to look ONE MORE TIME.
JACKPOT.
Yay! I’ve watched it at least 5 times already π€ͺ

Ironic that this “with ice sculptures” commercial doesn’t have any actual ice sculptures π I’ve done ice work for a couple of commercials though and you’ll see a few more posts about ice sculptures and commercials as I restore the old ice carving secrets content. For now, check out my Popeyes commercial experience. However, I’m not sure you could call that one a commercial with ice sculptures. More like a commercial with ice props.
You could also find photos and info from this entry on the ice sculpting secrets Instagram account or the facebook page. ice sculpting secrets is also on TikTok, although videos there aren’t really tied to posts as much. You can comment on IG and fb as well as below. And if it won’t LET you comment below, then definitely comment on fb and/or IG. Thanks!
