peacock on column ice sculpture design

Ron Meyn was nice enough to share this awesome peacock on column ice sculpture design that he recently came up with. Ron’s company website is at: www.millenniumice.com.

The piece requires one weld (the head) and it’s advisable to use the aluminum welding technique to make it as clean as possible. Also, use the photo to guide you on the extensive tail detailing, as well as the detailing of the peacock’s crest. A die grinder with a v-bit would suffice for most of it. Here’s the template:

Thanks Ron, it’s been a very useful design!

The template for the peacock on column ice sculpture and the opening photo in this post are property of Ron Meyn and Millennium Ice Sculpting and are used with permission.

I redrew it at some point

I can’t remember why I did a full blown design for the Ron’s peacock on column ice sculpture, based on the template. Probably a client wanted to see what it would look like. Check it out below.

as you can see above, I’ve used the design myself, several times actually!

a look at peacock courtship, which seemed appropriate, since this peacock design is usually used for weddings

how would it work on a CNC machine?

I believe Ron runs this on his I-Sculpt machine, so it will run very well on some CNC machines. I may not try it for a bit, but if you have the right machine, go for it!
