awesome ice from Dan Bergin
Dan Bergin works in New York for Apple Ice. He creates ridiculously detailed ice sculptures via both CNC machine and by hand. During the pandemic he kept cranking out detailed sculptures that he just wanted to do and he’s amassed a solid Instagram following with steady posting. He’s been able to give his ice works a distinctive look, with mostly white lighting and a black background. Sometimes he uses Photoshop to remove a crucial but distracting support. However, most of his sculptures are self-supporting, and amazing either way.
Incidentally, MY favorite one of Dan’s sculptures is his one from Where the Wild Things Are π That’s because I have a personal connection to that children’s book/movie. When I was very young, one of my classes did a play based on the book and I got to be Max! I can’t remember if I sucked or not π¬, but you can see Max riding on the back of the right Wild Thing in Dan’s sculpture. So thanks for bringing that to ice Dan!
All of these pics are Dan Bergin’s property and are used with permission! Thanks Dan!
And just so you know, if Dan’s gallery suddenly seems a little different/discombobulated, it’s because I accidentally deleted all the images π« Sometimes I do stupid stuff like that, even though I’ve been messing with websites on and off for a long time now :/ You probably didn’t notice (all 4 of you), but I’ll try to get things squared away soon! Sorry Dan!!
